Tips
The "Weper" airfield is now 80 years old and is the oldest active airfield in southern Lower Saxony. Only a tiny remnant remains of the former training center of the Junkers aircraft factory (Dessau) - enough to take off and land. Glider pilots will find the best conditions on the Weper. The site is located on the thermally favored eastern edge of the Solling and offers an ideal starting point for long flights over the Harz, Weserbergland and Meißner.
