Całowanie Bagno is the largest low peat bog in Mazovia, 15 km long and 3 km wide. The name comes from the town of Całowanie. The bog was created by the deposition of organic plant and animal remains over thousands of years. The thickness of the peat in some places reaches 4.5 meters.
