The origin of this name "Bois de la fête" perhaps comes from the fact that in the 13th century tournaments took place here between the lords of Bolland, Xhéneumont and Charneux or further afield, Luxembourg, Liège or Franchimont. At this point, a large cross rises (height of the cross: 15 meters and altitude at the foot of the cross: 269 meters) inaugurated in 1913. It dominates the entire region and offers an exceptional panorama of the Pays de Herve.
