The deep brown Lippersbach runs through damp, boggy meadows, damming into pools with almost black-colored water. The stream is fed from the “Müllerssohl” spring moor and probably also gets its color from the moor. The course of the brook is quite comparable to the typical wetlands in the valley ranges of the Burgwald, such as the Langen Grund / Krämersgrund, which are designated as NSG.
