South of the Karlslust sports field near Storkow, a 500 meter long field and forest path leads to Malerkiefer. The impressive tree stands on the edge of the forest, is wider than it is tall and over 200 years old. As a "border tree" on a parcel boundary, it was able to develop freely for a long time and develop a wide-spreading branch. The old pine looks really very picturesque. The name comes from the poor and dry "Malsand", which is typical here, on which the tree stands.
