Hiking

The Rocky Island headland used to be the site of a coastguard lookout. Jutting into the North Sea, you can get a great view up and down the coast. The seawatching hut is owned by the Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club, but visiting guests are usually welcome if someone from the club is present.

Nice area at the point for a walk can get very busy and there's a nice fish and chip shop and the Kings Arms pub nearby
