Tips
At this point the hiker/walker will find the old Merten cemetery, which is located in the middle of the town. Probably the most prominent person buried there is (Nobel Prize winner for literature) Heinrich Böll. A new cemetery is located relatively far outside the village, opposite the KBE train station.

Chapel and cemetery are in the middle of the village. Because of the hillside location, you sometimes have to climb up and down stairs.
