The parish church of Kirchham is a special surprise! A small old church from the 15th century with a beautifully painted vault and a very attractively designed modern church next to it. Both rooms invite you to linger and enjoy the silence.

There are two different parish churches in Kirchham, both dedicated to St. Lawrence: the Old Parish Church and the New Parish Church. Here is some information about both churches:
The Old Parish Church is a late Gothic building with Baroque furnishings that was built around 1500. It has a single-aisled nave with a ribbed vault, a west tower with a wedge roof and a late Gothic north portal with a vestibule. The church has remained architecturally almost unchanged and is a listed building.
The New Parish Church is a modern building that was built from 1997 to 1998 according to the plans of the architect Friedrich Kurrent. It stands next to the old parish church and is connected to it by a glass-covered foyer. The church has a transverse church hall with a central altar area in a trough-like depression. The church is decorated with works of art by Maria Biljan-Bilger, Sepp Auer and Franz Xaver Ölzant.
