Hampteau (in Walloon Hamtea, locally pronounced /hamtεː/, meaning "hamlet") is a town and sub-municipality of the Belgian municipality of Hotton. Hampteau is located in Wallonia, in the Belgian Ardennes, in the province of Luxembourg.

The village is located on both sides of the N86 between Hotton and La Roche-en-Ardenne and has several restaurants and terraces. In the summer there is a funfair in the village, which is mainly visited by the local population. Along the Rue du Moulin, the road from the N86 to Werpin, near the Ourthe lies the charming old part of the village. In addition to the old water mill, the "Moulin Faber", you will find old houses and farms built in the limestone and sandstone characteristic of the region.
In Hampteau, the Castle of Héblon and the parish church of Saint Michael are also interesting monuments. Hampteau used to be known for its orchards. The apples from Hampteau could be of a special quality due to the microclimate present.
