This house is a typical representative of the widespread Heuerlings- or Häuslingshäuser of larger manor houses. In the past, farm owners secured down-to-earth workers by ceding a small employment position, which mostly consisted of a house, garden and some arable land. In return, the workers earned their wages by working on the estate. The operating area of the hiring centers was typically around the yard - a few cows, pigs and chickens were kept. Today the heuerling houses mostly serve as holiday or residential houses, whereby the standards are very different. Some are badly dilapidated, others - like the one above - in top condition.
