There is a sign that points to a crevice and describes it as the escape cave in the 30 Years War. Actually too narrow and too small for people to stay. Unless a single person has to hide for a moment. Would you like to find out more ...?

Hello @TS, your puzzle inspired us. Good thing we always have a headlamp with us! So we went through the gap and around the corner. There is no cave opening up here, but with a bit of goodwill a few people can stand or crouch here. But that certainly wouldn't have been possible for several days or weeks. On the other hand, there are enough hiding places in the rocks...

Today I explored the crevice in more detail. Possibly the rift leads to a larger hiding place. At the end of the gap, turn right again. Just not for me. With my stature it is not possible to squeeze through there.
