Road cycling

Here the route of the Hersfeld circular path through the Solztal to Heimboldshausen crossed the B 62 at Röhrigshof. The potash salt mined in Hattorf and Heringen was used on this route during the division of Germany. After the old railway connection of the Werra Valley Railway was re-established across Thuringia, the Solztal Railway has become obsolete. The traffic of the Hersfeld Railway was stopped in 1993.
