Why visit Jarlshof? Well it's been described as "one of the most remarkable archaeological sites ever excavated in the British Isles".
That's quite a claim that certainly needs investigation! It contains remains dating from 2500 BC up to the 17th century AD and occupies a beautiful site overlooking the sea at the West Voe of Sumburgh.April 13, 2023
