Hi David. I found your walk to Jeresalem wheb looking for Via Egnatia GPX and have since been reading your posts. I'm nearing Bari at the end of VF Sud. I've noticed alot of unleashed agressive farm dogs after Benevento. I was wondering how your experience was in Albania, Greece etc with this

My first visit to Loch Calder for 2025. It was a mild 12 degrees as I left to walk to the loch. A very strong head wind slowed my progrsss as I walked out from the village. Ben Dorrery was clearly visible but the distant Morven and Maiden Pap hills were hidden in the distant mist. Loch Calder is the

This walk took me out to the edge of the village to the rail bridge that crosses the river Thurso. The bridge carries the rail track for the Thurso Inverness train. It was a grey day but further south the sun was shining has it shone on the distant hills of Morven and Maiden Pap. From the bridge I returned

A Caithness winter walk today. Beautiful refreshing walk - wild landscape with a big sky and long straight roads. Sharp and bracing wind.
