Fossil finds of dinosaurs (bones, teeth) in the so-called Hasenwinkel am Kallenberg, not far from Gleichen Castle, testify that the first large dinosaurs, such as B. the six meter tall "Franconian Lindworm" Plateosaurus engelhardti roamed the area of today's Drei Gleichen. There is a detailed information board at the rest area.
