The church of St. Bartholomäus von Wildeppenried stands on the western edge of the village, raised on a basalt stick. This is why the church, built between 1872 and 1875, can be seen very well from afar. On the high altar is a wooden figure of St. Bartholomew from the 18th century and an old and very well-worn tombstone is set in the cemetery wall next to the morgue. You can still see a helmet gem of the Frankengrun family on it. Such attachable decorative attachments were attached to helmets by knights.
