Forest trails explore the striking wooden sculptures of Aviemore-based artist Frank Bruce (1931-2009). Full of mystery and beauty, menace and intrigue, the sculptures are an absolute treat. Open to elements, Bruce's intention was that the timber structures would decay at different rates, depending on the type of wood they were carved from.

Lovely little stroll through beautiful woodlands with nice sculptures along the way. Some have fallen over or were taken down - all in line with the intention of the artist that the sculptures that are made from wood would return into nature and become nature again (through rotting away...). But even the fallen sculpture are well worth checking out, including in the little walled garden that is part of the trail.
