The exterior of the church is very simple. Inside you can admire some remarkable works of art, including the carved, gilded altarpieces, icons and paintings from the 18th century, and tile murals from the 17th and 18th centuries. Also worth seeing is the large 17th-century crucifix attributed to the Spanish school and a magnificent choir grille, unique in Portuguese architecture due to its oval shape.
