Hiking
The disused railway tunnel at Volkmarshausen has a length of 325 m and was built in the years 1852 to 1855 by the then King of Hanover George V. The northern and southern tunnel entrance are well preserved and worth seeing. During the event "Walking with others" of the Kreissportbundes Göttingen on 20.08.2017 the tunnel had to be walked and could be walked through.
