The Volkspark most likely emerged from the villa garden of Villa Feldstrasse 14. It has typical features of a villa garden around 1900. Unfortunately, the well system is no longer in operation. A garden shed stands on the northern border of the park.

Information:

Around 1900, Albert Emil Hauffe planned to build his own park with a residence. Due to the poor economic situation at the end of the 1920s, Hauffe's dream was never realized.

In the mid-1950s, the residents of Pulsnitz transformed the previously neglected garden plot into an attractive recreational area. The city park was officially opened in 1958. Today, the park is maintained and cared for by volunteers.

Hiking

A stroll or a short break in Pulsnitz's town park is well worth it. The area between the old post office and Bahnhofstrasse has been beautifully transformed. Even though no flowers bloom in winter and no trees provide shade, it's very attractively designed. The paths are well-maintained, numerous benches invite you to linger, and the gingerbread house is a real eye-catcher. The lovely graffiti on the wall is also interesting and evokes memories of the area's past.
