The wayside shrine is a monument in Bieberehren.

The wayside shrine is in Röttinger Straße at the beginning of the Mühlweg near the Gollach Bridge. It was renewed in 1970 on the occasion of the construction of the Gollach Bridge. The copy comes from the Freudenbach sculptor Adolf Vorherr. The original is in the Catholic parish church of St. Petrus and Paulus and St. Maria Magdalena zu Bieberehren.

"Wayside shrine, cross-like structure with relief, Christ with a spotting rod, copy based on the late Gothic original from 1432, original in the Catholic parish church of St. Peter and Paul."

Inscription: Pillar under the coat of arms of the nobleman Bernhard von Talheim: Anno Domini 1432 on Saturday after Arnolfi is the vest and strict nobleman Bernhard von Talheim with one of his servants called Wilhelm and one of his maiden called Margreth in water troubles different from those of God grace

Legend: As has been told in Bieberehren for centuries, the nobleman wanted to cross the Gollach in spite of the torrential floods. According to legend, the knight is said to have ordered his servant to drive through the river “in the name of three devils”. The inscription on the wayside shrine shows that the noble lord and the maiden met their deaths. The servant survived the misfortune and is said to have set the wayside shrine.
