Junction of Kirchpättchen Trail and Brennheide Path (Steinfurter Land)

According to the flyer, the start is at the Bispinghof. But here at the MAX sign, you can also park your car and start hiking from here.I cycled part of the way in the summer of 2020 without knowing that it would one day be signposted as a hiking trail. In the autumn of 2020, the Heimatverein then put up the signs.

Asphalt, sward and sand paths are roughly in balance, at least on the section that I drove. The section from Bispinghof along the renatured Brüggemannsbach and then towards Suttorf through fields and forests is very beautiful. There the path runs along a very narrow, idyllic Pättken. Also of interest is the former transformer station in the Westerode peasantry with its many nesting boxes and information about birds. I don't know the part at the Reckfort sheep farm yet, it still needs to be explored.

The route is rarely used, the rich avifauna of the hedges along the way is particularly interesting.
