Since 1271, hydropower has been used for grinding and sawing at this location. The current mill building from 1720 houses a mill museum and is absolutely worth a visit. It begins in the miller's room with many old ticking wall clocks, leads through the living rooms furnished as then and shows tools and equipment of the miller's trade up to the roof.

the mill belonged to the neighboring former Cistercian convent. The museum, mill wheel and saw gate in the outdoor area are really worth seeing,

A magnificent building (built in 1740) and a magnificent setting. There's plenty to discover! Outside, there's the water wheel and all sorts of curious metal objects that once served a water management function. There are also a few millstones, three of which serve as tables (a great place to rest!).
Inside, the mill forms a museum on three floors, with admission only €5. As of October 2025. Magical. Highly recommended!

Please note: Complete renovations are underway in winter 2025/26.
Also important: The Mill Café has long since closed, probably forever!
