The "Tree of the Year" nature trail in Celle runs along the Aller River and is ideal for exploring by bike. The trail was created in 2008 by the Celle Lions Club in cooperation with the city to mark the club's anniversary. Since then, the current "Tree of the Year," chosen by the board of trustees of the Dr. Silvius Wodarz Foundation, has been planted there every year. Over time, a small avenue with numerous different tree species has emerged. Each tree is equipped with informative panels explaining its origin, characteristics, and ecological significance.
