Located along the coast between Polignano and Monopoli, the tower was part of the three towers (Ripagnola, San Vito and Incina) built for defensive purposes in the 16th century by Pedro of Toledo, following the numerous pirate attacks that affected the area. Today, however, the tower flanks its namesake cove, known to most for its crystal clear waters, as well as particularly popular and frequented by divers in the area, attracted by the various caves and inlets in the area.

Segment more for MTB than for cycle touring. Definitely recommended especially for going out Gravel paying attention to the rocks and the rough sections. In case of rain it becomes very muddy so pay close attention. The central piece in the area of Cala di Pozzo Vivo is very fun.
