In 2012, the Bavarian State Horticultural Show took place on the so-called ERBA site. 1.05 million visitors came to this north-western part of the city for a cheerful and colorful flower and garden festival. The park on the former grounds of the garden show has been largely preserved and has been freely accessible again since spring 2013.

The five great playgrounds in particular are a huge attraction for children. Located on the northern tip of the two Regnitz arms, the site forms a counterpart to the historically grown Hain city park in the south of the city.

The area belongs to the district of Gaustadt, the city center is about two kilometers away. Before the major renovations for the State Garden Show, the site belonged to the ERBA, a large cotton spinning mill from the mid-19th century. This industrial past of the park is visible in the large red brick factory building, which is now a student residence, and in various buildings that are still distributed on the site, such as the former director's villa or the ERBA tower.

the Erba Park was artificially created as part of the state horticultural show. Paths invite you to stroll. There is a bathing area to cool off after long tours and a bicycle motorway in the direction of Hain makes this an optimal axis point for every MTB tour in Bamberg

why a RR highlight? this is the perfect place to start and end a tour. caffee and restaurants are available. there are also perfect asphalt rr suitable paths in all directions that cross here
