The wood adventure trail in Holzgerlingen
On April 21, 2007, the "Holzweg" was inaugurated. This is a three-and-a-half kilometer adventure and wood educational trail that leads through the lower forest. The starting and finishing point is the parking lot at the forest cemetery.

The wooden path is not a wrong path, but a teaching path:
The wood adventure and wood nature trail teaches important basics about the subject of forest and nature with wood knowledge and is particularly suitable for families and school classes. There is a lot to discover and try out at a total of 14 stations. Always there are Raven Fritz and Owl Emma, who accompany the visitors on the circular route.

Since the wooden path has gotten old over the past decade due to vandalism and the weather, it was completely renovated for its 10th anniversary. After about half the way, the Josefshütte, which has also been completely renovated, invites you to linger and have a barbecue.
