The Oevelgönne museum harbor is a lively harbor with restored and functional sailing and steaming historical watercraft. Because the best care for a sailing or steamship is to keep it moving. An encounter with the ships of the museum harbor is therefore not only possible in Neumühlen. It's worth looking for them throughout the port of Hamburg, on the Elbe between Cuxhaven and Lauenburg, the Elbe-Lübeck Canal or even on the North and Baltic Seas.
The ships in the Oevelgönne museum harbor are worth preserving due to their design, their former purpose or their rarity and some are classified as monuments. They are essentially preserved in their original condition or correspond to this, e.g. through the use of original materials. Because they are still in operation, they also have to meet strict shipping guidelines.museumshafen-oevelgoenne.de
