Gyldensteen Strand is the largest restored nature reserve on Funen. The 616-hectare area was previously a reclaimed area of fields and farmland. Jensen Nature Foundation, purchased the area and created a shallow coastal lagoon, a freshwater lake, and a reed bed.

There are pleasant hiking trails and fantastic views. These views are even better from the two birdwatching towers.
