The factory was built in 1909 by the chocolate and gingerbread manufacturer Rosmeulen, who designed the building itself and only then hired an architect to complete the design. Later the building was used as a tin factory. A few years ago it was bought by project developers to turn it into lofts. Much of the original building has been preserved, including the impressive entrance.
