At Alpe Forno Inferiore, the paths divide: west across the Albrun Pass into the Binntal, east through the Scatta Minoia Pass into the upper Val Formazza, south to the Alpe Devero.
In 1954, the Swiss writer S. Corinna Bille spent a largely sleepless night in the primitive hut (from the Rhone to the Maggia - narrative of a hike). Today, the Alm is renovated and well known for its Bettelmattkäse.
