On the site of the former Munich airport, which was relocated to the Erdinger Moos in 1992, the city's new exhibition center was built next to the neighboring residential diaspora. An artificially created lake, which runs in terraces, should provide visual relaxation. The large sculpture "Gran Paradiso" by the Munich sculptor Stephan Huber was planted in the middle of this body of water in 1997. On a metal shelf, the reliefs of Alpine peaks can be admired in alphabetical order from top left to bottom right, from the Riguille Verte in the Mont Blanc massif of the French western Alps to the German Zugspitze. The eponymous Gran Paradiso is the highest peak in the Graian Alps at 4061 meters and is located in the Italian Aosta Valley.
