De Ahle Bonne (the old fountain), formerly also called Wahlbonnen (forest fountain) and located on the upper Löwenburgstrasse at the end of the town just before the forest cemetery (Adenauergrab) is the actual Ziepchensquelle/Drachenfelsquelle. Since 1844, the village fountain on Ziepchensplatz has been supplied with spring water via a pipeline. All that is visible is a wooden door embedded in the masonry.
Initially supplied the residents of the upper Löwenburgstrasse with drinking water / 1888 construction of the Honnef waterworks - 1891 connection of Löwenburgstrasse to the water supply network (/ but individual houses remained dependent on the drinking water supply from the Wahlbonnen until 1967
