The Festival Garden was once a household tip used by residents of Liverpool. In 1984 it was transformed and landscaped into a festival of gardens which attracted millions of visitors over the years. There were a mix of different garden styles from all around the world. Unfortunately, interest dwindled and by 1997 the site was in disrepair. Redevelopment work started in 2010 and it's been tidied up, it's not quite as spectacular as it was in its heyday but still a nice place to walk with great views along the river Mersey.

A lovely walk for all abilities. We'll paved and flat. Shared with cyclists, joggers, dog walkers, adults and children alike. Bracing in the winter and beautiful in spring, summer and autumn.
