The Rüenberger Venn borders in important parts directly on the leisure paradise "Dreiländersee". The Rüenberger Venn consists of four sub-areas with quite different characteristics. The large number of bodies of water – some old heath ponds, some newly created in recent years – typically have low or at most medium nutrient content. They thus offer a special habitat for remarkable animal and plant species. The area is ideal for long walks or bike rides. The landscape is divided into small spaces and has areas with grassland and wet meadows.
