"The original flint blade was found by caretaker Ludwig Fuchs in 1969 [...] during road construction work. The emergence of this ax is dated to around 3000 BC [New Stone Age/Neolithic].
The original is in the Historical Museum of the Palatinate in Speyer.”
A replica of this found stone ax - with flint, deer antler lining and handle - is in the "Alte Samenklenge" museum (House of Forestry and Forest History) in Elmstein.
