I climbed with my children (10 and 16 years old) from Metzzegra. Everything was great except the ridge before the summit. It was scary, definitely not for children. We didn't go up it.
But overall it was an interesting and beautiful route. The tunnel was very impressive!

Hiking

When ascending from Tremezzo to the summit, Komoot recommends a path east towards the summit cross. This is very steep and not for the faint of heart. Alternatively, the last few meters up to the cross can be taken more relaxed around the summit from the west across a meadow.
