Groevenbeeklaan sand road

A really beautiful gravel road, right through the Oud Groevenbeek estate. The path takes you past the special castle (squeezing the brakes is really worth it) but also the open field with the old orangery is beautiful to see.The path is a perfect hard crisp path, which turns into a hard forest path. It is therefore fine for all types of cyclists (including racing bikes) to cycle. However, keep an eye out for walkers and other cyclists who are likely to be strolling around slower than you.Pay attention! You are legally allowed to cycle through this estate, but only on marked trails. These are usually the wide main paths, but this is not always clear. To avoid hassle, it is best to stick to the highlights that already exist.

Beautiful wide avenue over firm sand and gravel. The most beautiful is the one from Ermelo, so that you have a full view of Groevenbeek castle. Note, many walkers, as a cyclist, stay on the wide avenues.

A few details come together here. The Villa itself with all those details and the turret, the coach house that has just been renovated by a painter, the grape greenhouse from the beginning of the last century and the water tower on a hill that supplies the whole with pressurized water, even though 100 built years ago. A little further in the forest is the dug Groevenbeek, a stream, with a small bridge over it.
