Best Hikes to Seechen Lake

Tips

  • The Seechen is an almost round lake in the northwest of the better known Liepnitzsee. It is a residual water that was separated by siltation of a shallow water between the still existing at the end of the 19th century island Kleiner Werder and the Endmoränenwall.
From the north it is not open to the public.

  • From the north, the lake can be reached rather unofficially via a small wooden footbridge, which is accessible via a narrow footpath. It is located in the Oberseemoor nature reserve.

  • The mossy landscape at the fork in the road to Seechen See is bizarre.
