This beautiful aviator memorial can be seen almost somewhat hidden on the back wall of the Hall of Honour. The memorial designed by sculptor Walter Franke in 1924 commemorates the airmen from Nuremberg and Fürth who died in both world wars.

Erected in 1924 in honor of the pilots who died in World War I. The memorial shows a plane crashing / upside down.
The monument originally stood on Dutzendteichstrasse. The aviator mark was badly damaged in World War II and, after restoration, was put up again in 1958 at the rear of the Hall of Honor - to commemorate the fallen pilots in World War I and II.translated by•February 20, 2021
