Up here on the summit of Telegraphenberg (95 m) is a granite obelisk, which was erected on the occasion of a regional reform under King Ernst August of Hanover in 1847. EAR stands for Ernst August Rex.

Hiking

Rather unspectacular, as there is no view. It's the highest point of the hike. There is also no reference to a telegraph station (optical telegraphy), which is said to have been part of a connection to Paris in 1812. A lookout tower would of course be nice when imagining it.
