Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul
The earliest components belong to the Gothic period. The church was then dedicated to St. Peter. It stood at right angles to today's facility and its choir was enclosed by the walls of the current Chapel of Our Lady. The lower part of the tower also dates from this period. The local pastor Sebastian Rüttimann had the nave of the old church demolished in 1640 and the new church built across the Gothic choir. In 1643 the present church was consecrated to Saints Peter and Paul. Pastor Rüttimann was absent for a few years to beg for his parish church. In 1647 he donated the Sebastian Altar. The festive high altar is the work of the Valais altar builder and carver Antoni Sigrist from Brig. An impressive detail is the carved Last Supper above the rotating tabernacle.
In the Chapel of Our Lady there is a fine Gothic wing from around 1500. A crucifix from the 14th century hangs above the entrance arch to this chapel. There is a pietà on the left side wall of the chapel. The Nepomuk altar in the Lady Chapel is also an interesting work.
The Stucco-rich Antonius Chapel, a graceful high baroque building with a dome, was built in 1668 with donations from the people of Vals in Italy. In the Antonius Chapel there is also the baptismal font, a roughly trimmed stone block from the 14th century that comes from the first church.
In 1896 the ship was extended by one yoke to the north under the direction of Pastor Wellinger. The top floor of the tower was built in 1923. During the renovation in 1963, the church was given an open vestibule.

The earliest components belong to the Gothic period. The church was then dedicated to Saint Peter. It stood at right angles to today's complex and its chancel was surrounded by the surrounding walls of the current Mother of God chapel. The lower part of the tower also dates from this period. In 1643 the current church was consecrated to Saints Peter and Paul. Pastor Rüttimann was absent for a few years to beg for his parish church. In 1647 he donated the Sebastian altar. The St. Antonius chapel, rich in stucco, is a delicate high baroque building with a dome and was built in 1668 with donations from the people of Vals who were staying in Italy. The baptismal font, a roughly trimmed block of stone from the 14th century that comes from the first church, also stands in the Antonius Chapel today.
In 1896 the nave was extended by a yoke to the north under the direction of Pastor Wellinger. The top floor of the tower was built in 1923. During the renovation of 1963, the church received an open vestibule.
