    Chapel of the Holy Cross
    "Vleerchappeli"
The chapel Heiligkreuz Valé was built in 1677 under Pastor Sebastian Rüttimann. The east-facing choir was provided with a brick wedge to protect against avalanches and shouts. During the renovation in 1996, old frescos were found and uncovered inside the chapel.
The baroque chapel has a retracted choir, which is closed on three sides and raised by one step. It is vaulted with a barrel ceiling, cut into five stab caps. The late Gothic winged altar is well worth seeing, with three statuettes in its shrine: Our Lady between St. Martin and Antonius. The altar may have been in the parish church earlier.

Chapel of the Holy Cross in Valé, "Vleerchappeli", Vals
The Heiligkreuz Valé chapel was built in 1677 under Pastor Sebastian Rüttimann. The east-facing choir was provided with a brick wedge to protect against avalanches and calls. During the renovation in 1996, old frescoes were found and uncovered inside the chapel.
The baroque chapel has a recessed chancel that is closed on three sides and raised by one step. It is vaulted with a barrel ceiling cut into by five lunettes. Worth seeing is the late Gothic winged altar with three statuettes in its shrine: The Mother of God between St. Martin and Antonius. The little altar must have stood in the parish church earlier.
