The PORTIERS HOUSE of the Henkenshage Castle, also protected, from 1909 in Dutch Neo-Renaissance style, is located just outside the center of Sint-Oedenrode and near the castle. Although the visual relationship between the two has been disrupted by new buildings, the functional relationship between the house and the castle can still be seen in the design and location.

The porter's house is of general interest. It has cultural-historical value as a representative of a building for the social elite shortly after 1900. It has architectural-historical value as a rich example of the Dutch Neo-Renaissance style. It has architectural historical value because of the materials used, in particular the cement layers and corner blocks.
