The weir in Junne is about 100 years old. In recent years, heavy traffic has passed over the bridge that is on top of the weir, causing cracks in the masonry of the weir. It is unknown what the current condition of the weir is in the part that is under water. They are therefore going to drain the weir and investigate it. Based on this investigation, they can determine whether the weir needs to be replaced or renovated.
There is a bridge on top of the weir. The bridge is not suitable for heavy traffic and is now only accessible to cars, cyclists and pedestrians.
