The Church of St. Kunibert is in the center of Enzen. This place was first mentioned in writing in 893 in the so-called Prüm Urbar. At that time there were already nine farms that had to pay corresponding taxes to the abbey in Prüm. The church was first mentioned in 1079, when the Cologne Archbishop Sigewin von Are gave away the St. Peter's Church in Zülpich with its branches, which also included St. Kunibert zu Enzen, to the Siegburg Abbey. In a document from 1366, Johann von Vinstingen is named as the pastor of Enzen.
