Unique in Northwestern Europe, located in beautiful Westerwolde, is a cultural-historical pearl: former Crosier monastery Domus Novae Lucis / House of the New Light, from 1465. The only remaining medieval rural monastery in the province. Now museum.
Rustically located in the Kloosterenclave in the middle of a 200 ha. large forest with many walking and cycling opportunities. This UNESCO 'top 100' monument now houses a registered museum, with fascinating temporary exhibitions, a beautiful monastery garden with more than 200 different plant species, an attractive wedding location and a nice monastery shop with a surprising range.
