Built in 1954 - dedicated to the Mother of God - Owner: Waidhofen Municipality
Not far from the spot where the gruesome murder of Hinterkaifeck once took place, and on the site where a small prayer chapel once stood, today stands a charming little village church in the center of the village, proudly and majestically blending into the Gröbern landscape.

With exemplary cooperation and a great sense of sacrifice, the Gröbern village community built this small church on the initiative of Lorenz and Johann Schlittenbauer. The consecration of the "Maria Hilf Chapel" on April 25, 1954, was perhaps the greatest and most beautiful festival this small village has ever experienced.

In front of the image of the Mother of God, which is mounted above the altar and, according to experts, dates back to the late Gothic period, the residents of Gröbern still ask for a blessing for their families, farms, and fields.
