A beautifully restored wooden post mill in Lembeke. The current mill was built around 1780-1785 with the reuse of many beams from the old mill. The mill has always been in operation and is well maintained.
During the Second World War, the resistance used the Westermolen as a location from which messages were sent to England. The mill has been left standing to commemorate a killed resistance fighter who belonged to the d'Alcantara family, the then owners of the mill.
