During the excavation work for the extinguishing water cistern, this huge boulder came to light. The decision was made immediately not to transport it away, but to expose it to sunlight after the work was completed. The expertly attached sword was added later and refers to the first mention of Willershausen by name. More information will follow ...

Such a sword in the stone gives me a lot of associations with fairy tales and legends (King Arthur and the sword Excalibur). That's why I had to go there. It was still possible to pull it out, but it was a lot of work to put it back into the stone :-) I'll probably also become the mayor of Willershausen now? Anyone who tells the right story about the sword here will certainly have something in their children's game.
